Default Droknar's Forge Running

I think this run should be nerfed...
1) Droknar's Forge contains max armor which low levels should not wear.
2) Droknar's Forge contains perfect collecters which should not be accessible to all players.
3) Players will not get power leveled and will have to play there characters so they will actually understand how to use there characters.

^^

4) droknar's forge got perfect items on weapon trader

are you serious? you wanna make droknar's forge pointless, not the run.

ANet already said how they feel on running. I say if you've already beaten the game and make a new char; getting a run to Droks is fine.

QFT. If people choose to skip the content in the game, that's their own choice. The 4th time or so through the game, it gets a little tedious doing all the ridiculously easy missions before the fun ones.

1) They can get a run to desert and get collectors armor, not a huuuuge difference
2) They can get a guildie/friend to buy it for them
3) Trolls arent the only way to get power levled

you have a point there but at least less people will be prompted to sell collecters items for more than there cost...
and yes the desert and droks armor makes a big differance
also, there is not much more to power level at and keep a power leveler happy with how much there making...or just nerf them to

1. Desert collectors armor is even cheaper to get...

2. Yes, you can ask a friend to get them for you....

3. Theres many other places you can get ran to get power leveled.

this run is fair.... Also after you make 1 or 2 chars which you play out the game with not everyone wants to continue to play the whole game out with them...

I agree somewhat. What I would like to see, is when you got through the entire game with one character, those places are revealed for your other characters. No need for runners really after that. Once the hard part (not really) is accomplished by your first character, you wouldn't have to repeat everything with the other characters.

Simple solution:

Take the Factions Gate system, and rewire it to be account-wide. Beauty! First-timers have to play through in order, and the rest of us get to skip 90% of the game on our eighth run-through.

You know, let's nerf mapping to cantha from LA too. Since you can do that and go buy your max canthan armor, that has more stat options than tryia armor.

We nerf that, then everyone wants to goto droks again, or finish the desert and ascend(the original plan for being able to goto cantha...). So now they have to pay to get their armor, keeping all new players from doing so.

Vetran players may not want to play through the game again. Infact most don't.

You've already said powerleveling isin't exclusive to trolls, and max armor isin't exclusive to droknars forge, so why nerf the forge run and not nerf everything else? That's kind of pointless to me.

Lets nerf running to droks. Or better yet, lets nerf unblurring lornars pass.

Look... if droks get nerfed imagine how many runs there will be going through all of Kryta and Maguma. Also, think about how many runners will go back to augury dis 1... Just leave it how it is.

Sounds to me like someone was spanked by a twink in the ascalon arena, and is a tad bitter about it....

I don't like having to state the obvious, but once again I'll do so anyways. On every occasion that I started a PvE character I played through the game in about a week's time (because I played the whole thing through - no runs for me). To actually COMPLETE that character (ie. all quests/mission bonuses/ideal weapons) would take months. Actually, the truth is I've never actually *completed* a character in that sense. Now consider all the titles available to work on with new characters...

My point here is that the amount of time needed to actually play the game through (in the sense of merely making it from pre-sear to Hell's Precipice) is absolutely miniscule compared to the amount of time needed to actually complete (or even come close to completing) a character. If you're going to spend 500 hours on a character, what's another 5? Complaining that the gameplay is tedious when you're going to spend hundreds more hours on a character anyways...is...uh...pretty stupid? Unless of course you merely intend to use up a character slot on your account by running a character to Droks, power-levelling it, equipping it, and then calling it done, in which case I have to ask: why did you even bother? Of course lots of people do this and then go back to get the sections of the game they missed in which case the amount of time they saved is even less and only goes to further my point. Congratulations, by the time you've finished you've saved a few hours.

The Droks run has never been necessary, and it's only notable purpose has been to generate a lot of annoying bullshi* (twinking Ascalon Arena is a prime example). Yes, I'm aware that Ascalon Arena is in no way representative of...well...really I don't even know why it's in the game. It's only conceivable purpose I guess would be to give new players a small taste of PvP, but it certainly doesn't do that job. Oh dear, I've gotten off topic. I think I was talking about how the Droks run only serves to spoil the integrity of the game. Oh well, if I haven't convinced you by now, nothing else I've got to say will, so I'll shut up and leave now.

I don't really see why you guys even care, the only real reason why I could imagine is if you were getting your ass kicked in the little arenas. I don't really like the anti-run code, as I like to play more than one character, and don't necessarily want to have to do every primary quest and co-op to get to an elite, or the like.

With all of my characters, with the exception of one, I got them ran to droks and outfitted. Then I proceeded to finish the game, I just can't imagine why anyone cares that much, that they would have a complaint about this.

I don't agree with running the first character through... I think everyone should play through the whole game. But honestly, how much fun is it to churn through some of those Maguuma missions... the 9th time??? Honestly, once a player has a good hand-hold on the build they are playing, why not allow them to get ran to wherever they basically please.

The run to droknar's forge has already been nerfed with giant worms and all sorts of nasty enemy snares in earlier builds. It's evolved into a great warrior challenge that captures the interest of alot of people. There are a ton of people that put time into coming up with the perfect route and have created taxi services for taking new players to the forge. If forge was nerfed who would be there to stand and watch the giant worms tear the noob runner to pieces? Droks run is already a powerful cultural point in the game. Do you want to turn droknar's into a wasteland city like Denravi? The run if half the flavor of droks. Seriously think of better things to nerf.
